Rajeev and Sonali’s Indian Hindu wedding was beautiful! With details like delicate peacock feathers and flower centerpieces, a view to the ocean, and an Indian wedding lengha in rich red and gold, we want to be there too!

Photographer Joanna Tano shares a quick moment with us:

Everly of Maui Indian Weddings did such a wonderful job on all of the details. I am so excited to share images from Sonali & Rajeev's beautiful wedding day. Their event was colorful, stunningly beautiful, and very inspiring to photograph!

Pretty pretty pretty! I picked out our favorite wedding photos below. Which was really hard to do!

Sonali is ready. She's wearing a dark and luxurious red and gold lengha that is intricately embroidered.

Dark pink and blue fabrics frame the mandap, while flowers accent the corners. Fabrics tie in perfect to those ocean breezes, everything floats in the air.

The guests are all dolled up in Indian outfits. Don't they look stunning?

They took a few day after photos. It's a great way to feel relaxed but still on an adrenaline high from the wedding. Love this photo shot on the colorful canoes at a beach garden.

Maharani Weddings & Dellables

the colors of an Indian wedding are vibrant and talkative!  Many, many thanks to Joanna Tano Photography, Maharani Weddings of San Francisco and the entire Dellables team of designers!  here's the post by Maharani...

~

I just LOVE tropical weddings! And today's sensationally pretty event from Joanna Tano Photography has every island-incredible detail! Maharani Sonali is a princess in Paradise with a lush and colorful bouquet (how gorgeous is the contrast of her rich ruby lengha with those bright violet and lemon-colored blossoms?!) and her beaming smile goes on for days! At the ceremony, the bright blue Hawaiian sky sets the stage for a teal and fuchsia mandap that is so lavishly decorated, it's like a floral fantasy! I have to give huge props to Dellables for creating such a dreamy decor scene! With Maui Indian Weddings & Bollywood Parties tending to every other detail, from the planning and design to the lighting and entertainment, there's no way this grand affair could be anything short of spectacular! Platinum Guide vendors always get it right! This soiree has me filled with delight, and I'm gonna check out the gallery for more glam!

A Childhood Vacation Spot Turns Wedding Venue in This Real Hawaiian Wedding

Words by Courtney Cox
Photos courtesy of Joanna Tano Photography

Gretchen and Justin hail from stormy Seattle, so when it came to planning their big day--they saw sunshine in their forecast. Luckily for Justin, he vacationed in Maui almost every year as a child and had ample oppotunity to scout out venues for his future "I Do's." So, when it came time to planning their destination wedding, the location was a no-brainer.

The couple knew there was no place else that would hold as much meaning as Maui, Hawaii. Justin and Gretchen, along with their closest friends and family, gathered at the groom's family condo at the Makena Surf. The ceremony was held on the condo's lush green grounds overlooking the ocean.

Gretchen took advantage of the local flora with colorful tropical flowers brightening up the entire ceremony and reception. The love birds also took the opportunity to frolic on the white-sand beach with the constantly changing sky as their backdrop. By keeping all the events on the same property, the newlyweds' guests were able to truely relax, have a great time and enjoy each other's company.

The reception occurred poolside and really set off a laid back, hip vibe. The wedding party was able to celebrate and party in close quarters. What would a Hawaiian wedding be without little drink umbrellas? Gretchen and Justin also took advantage of Hawaii's beautiful native flowers when it came to the decoration of their cake thanks to
Dellables Flowers.

It's apparent that this couple really wanted their guests to feel as though they could unwind and set free their inner-child. Perhaps the giant, flavored snow cones paid homage to Justin's own childhood. Either way, they're just plain fun! It's obvious from the couples photos that this childhood destination is now home to a whole new collection of fond memories. We hope that Gretchen and Justin approach married life with zeal and childlike enthusiasm.
