We often are distracted by the pageantry and pomp of destination weddings here on Maui.
Yet, hidden within our own designs and creations is an often overlooked mimicry of the very beauty all around us.
Here at the Hyatt resort in Ka'anapali on the inspiring island of Maui, we find our hanging orchids and crystal strands to be following the vertical movement of the coconut palms in the near distance. The horizontal flow of the naupaka beach shrubs and the ocean itself reflect along the top of the arches.
And, to keep it all from being too geometrical, the distant island of Molokai pushes against the straight lines.
Pictures can never do it justice, but they can allow us to fill in with our minds the vast compliment of nature all around us here.
On April 7th, I had the most wonderful opportunity to work with Tami planning her Maui wedding.
During the planning phases we formed what will be a life long friendship. It was truly my pleasure to design this wedding.
Her and Adam were blessed with family, perfect weather, whales and a settting by the sea that was completely magical.
