Weddings are always beautiful affairs and despite how hard we might try, we cannot remember it all.  Photographers, especially the great ones, make it memorable forever.  Aihara Visuals has done that exceedingly well here....

Nathan & Rothtida :: Kihei, Maui Wedding

Monday, July 12, 2010

I am so excited to finally blog about this wedding! Nathan & Rothtida were married a few weeks back in beautiful Kihei, Maui. The rented a house right near a favorite surf spot, “the Cove”. It was a gorgeous location. When I arrived Rothtida was just finishing up with hair and make up. She was a stunning bride! Nathan was preparing the seating for their intimate ceremony to be held on the lawn overlooking the ocean. I knew right away that this was going to be a wonderful day. Rothtida had put a lot of time into the details of the day. Her Pronovias Gown was a perfect match with her elegant accessories, birdcage veil & Christian Louboutin Shoes. Della of Dellables did a spectacular job on the bouquet and flower arrangements for the day.
Nathan & Rothtida were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends as they said their I Do’s. Everyone was so happy and excited for them! Their day was perfect. After the ceremony and a few portraits we headed to Spago in the Four Seasons Wailea for their reception dinner. All of the details were beautiful. The table had light pink roses & orchids with handmade thank you’s that Rothtida made herself. Nathan collects Pez dispensers so they had a special set of bride & groom Pez people marking their spots at the table.
My 2nd shooter, Anna & I were treated to an amazing 5 course dinner! All I can say is yum, yum! There were a few special, heartwarming toasts shared during dinner. Nathan & Rothtida were glowing with happiness and joy. Lots of laughter & good conversation was shared that evening. They shared their story of how they met and their first sweet!
Near the end of the evening their beautiful cake was brought out and they shared a fun cake cut with everyone. It was such a wonderful evening! I was so honored to capture this adorable couples wedding! Nathan & Rothtida are such a special couple. Their warmth & love for each other, family & friends was awesome to capture & experience. Thank you Nathan & Rothtida for having us as part of your wedding day. I wish you many more years of happiness & laughter as husband & wife! Many thanks also to Anna for 2nd shooting for me.. it was a blast!

James & Sarah :: Makena, Maui Wedding Photography

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

I first spoke with James & Sarah just a few months before their wedding. As we chatted over the phone they mentioned that they really love photography. I was super excited to work with them! They tied the knot on a beautiful, sunny morning in Makena. When I arrived Della of Dellables was there setting up a vibrant flower circle for James and Sarah to stand in and say their vows. The bouquet, also made by Della, was simply gorgeous..bright yellows and favorite colors! Lori Lawrence of Tropical Maui Weddings coordinated everything perfectly..the morning went as planned and a beautiful ceremony began.
Reverend Laki blew the conch shell, the harpist strummed and the procession started. When I first saw Sarah I knew that she had an amazing sense of style…she was wearing the most adorable vintage gown with a Tiffany blue sash, Christian Louboutin sandals, a birdcage veil and had gorgeous sparkles encircling her neck and wrist. She was stunning. James smiled as his beautiful bride walked toward him and stepped in the flower circle beside him. They had a lovely ceremony with a few laughs and tears as their family stood around them and shared in their joy. You could see in James and Sarah’s eyes how much they adored each other.
After the ceremony we started with a few portraits at Makena Cove then we went on a photo taking cruise around the island:)it was so much fun! We ended up in Kihei, Iao Valley & Old Wailuku Town.
We met up a few days later at Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua for a Trash the Dress Session. I had such an amazing time working with these two! They were so much fun to photograph, naturals in front of the camera. I had so many images to share from the day that I decided to share them in slide show form. Thanks so much James & Sarah for allowing me to capture your memories. I felt honored to be a part of your day. Much thanks to Jana for all her help.
