Project Wedding & Dellables

Jocelyn and Frederick, again!  This wedding was so much fun and enjoyable!

A Sunset Real Wedding in Maui by James Rubio

I’m so happy to have not one, but two incredible destination weddings to share with you this week!  Jocelyn and Frederick’s wedding is super special to us, as she is a beloved hostess on Project Wedding.  In fact, you might remember when we featured her bio! It’s packed with all of her inspirations and planning… so if you’re as in love with their big day as I am, you’ll definitely want to pour over every last bit of her planning process.  In the meantime, I could look at these photos by James Rubio for days…
Jocelyn looks so utterly happy…  I love how Aeleise at Hair Love Art Studio worked with her natural curl in a pretty, upswept style.  And those florals…I’m gushing!  Dellables used peach dahlias, gold ranunculus, white and green orchids and bold pink peonies to design the bouquets.   The soft ceremony palette seamlessly transformed into richer hues for the reception, with common threads of coral, peach, and gold. Jocelyn and Frederick married in an early evening ceremony, under an archway of coral fabric and hanging orchids…  too pretty for words if you ask me!These two met at work and, according to Jocelyn, they drove each other crazy from the start.  They were constantly at odds with one another.  But, the more they talked, the more chemistry they realized they had.  Eventually they started to chat on the phone… which turned into a nightly thing… and it was evident that a romance was brewing.  Five years later, Jocelyn and Frederick married in Maui!
The couple celebrated their vows with a nighttime party at Mala Wailea.  Soft golden uplighting and more beautiful hanging flowers created a romantic ambiance.
A special thanks to Jocelyn for being such a fabulous hostess on PW and for sharing your day with us!

Magic takes Teamwork

When you see a Bride this happy you feel good.  You feel like smiling, or beaming, just like her.

A picture can capture the magic, but the magic takes a team to produce successfully.

Tami had her Star Team beginning with Cherise as Coordinator and Owner of The Perfect Wedding Maui.  She worked with Tami extensively to get all the vendors together and coordinated.

Photography is, as you would expect, a critical part of preserving the magic, keeping it alive in our memories long past when we might lose a small detail here or there.  Melissa McClure Owner of Melissa McClure Photography used her instruments of pixelation and capture as well as that famous artistic eye to bring us moments, slices of time, that we can enjoy now and along with the grand kids many years out!

Wedding Design and Florals flesh out the moment by moving the Bride's vision from dream to physical, taking her ideas and creating manifestations everyone can see and feel, and smell!  Della, Owner of Dellables Wedding Design and Florals, put her heart into the details, working directly with Tami to get it just right.

Catering by Food For the Soul, Minister, Rev Laki Ka'ahumanu, Make Up and Hair by Dan Sanchez and Jessica.  I may have missed something, and if I did, check out Tami's Project Wedding site for ALL the details.

A romantic beach wedding in Maui.
At her gorgeous outdoor reception, the Bride had large ferns and twigs inside tall etched vases, surrounded by four smaller square vases containing full arrangements of ivory mums, hydrangeas, and roses.  Starfish placed around each table added to the beach theme.
Each guests place setting had a linen napkin tied up with an simple sea foam green canvas ribbon, met in the center by elegant place cards in DIY calligraphy script.

They did this on the main boards, but thought it would be a great idea for the Hawaii board PWers to do it too. List your dream team!!
